Watering Instructions
Watering is the single most important thing you can do to ensure your new plant’s health and wellbeing. Plants will tell you when they need more or less water. ANY change in the plant’s foliage color is an early indicator of water issues. Follow these guidelines when watering your new plants:
Use a standard garden hose with no attachments (jets, water wands, etc.)
Hold the hose about 6 inches or so directly above the center of the plant
Avoid watering the leaves or blooms of plants
Do not use a lawn sprinkler to water plants
Even if your planting beds have an irrigation system, new plants will need to be hand watered during summer months (June - September)
